West Coast Revival

Nearly two years after an astoundingly short-lived blogging attempt, the lovely green mountainous scenery has changed and Portland, Oregon is Amor Culinaria's home for the summer. A heartbreaking farewell to my dear Inn (but great party) gave way to a thrilling and multi-climatic trek across the country. I learned that the desert does not particularly agree with my constitution, but upon sniffly arrival, my first meal in this city was a fantastically tasty and therapeutic bowl of pho. It hasn't been long, but there is a TON of amazing food here. I look forward to experiencing as much of it as I can manage.

My first taste of Voodoo Doughnuts... don't worry, no foodographing and driving at the same time. It's impossible to  think about doing anything else while this delicious maple-bacon treasure is within eating distance.

Welcome to the city of roses!
A little more after the jump.
